The Art of
Embodied Relationships

How to relate and connect intimately without your

trauma responses getting in the way.

Intimate relationships are the most triggering experiences.

These are the people we share our space, time, bodies, thoughts, families, pets, dreams, and money with!

  • We can very quickly fall in love with who we want them to be instead of who they are…

  • We can confuse our trauma response and triggers as something they’re doing wrong…

  • We can expect them to meet all of our needs and create safety for us, resulting in co-dependence…

Or… we can build capacity for who they are and make informed decisions from a place of clarity.

Some of the topics we will cover:

  • Self-attuning
Find safety in yourself first instead of someone else. Understand your own emotional landscape with more clarity and how to be in relationship with yourself.

  • Co-dependence and co-regulation:
Explore the differences between wanting versus needing someone. Learn about enmeshment where personal boundaries are blurred and how to bring healthy boundaries back into a relationship.

  • Overcouplings
Understand your individual triggers and preferences, where they came from — ex: inherited from family dynamics or previous relationships — and how to work through overcouplings that consistently show up.

  • Attachment styles
Examine the trauma responses through a somatic lens. Learn more about the developmental patterns that influence how we experience intimacy and manage our emotions.

  • Fawning
Understand people pleasing, both its corrosive nature and protective reflex, and how to recognize it in your relationships.

  • Sexual fawning
Explore your capacity for intimacy through the lens of fawning. Learn how to listen to the body for an authentic yes.

  • Tending to rupture
Navigate conflict and repair in a new way that doesn’t rely on story. Learn how to tend to your self and have different conversations with your partner.

  • Relationship design
Design a partnership based on capacity.

This journey will offer you:

Learning to integrate somatic work into your relationships means we connect to our intuition much more easily, and have the tools to both relate more authentically and to create boundaries.

Intention is a powerful tool. Combined with slow, sustained support, it’s almost unstoppable. The most incredible part of this journey will be the pace — slow and deliberate — plus having other people to witness, connect, learn, and regulate with.

  • 2 live calls with Luis per month

  • 2 live integration calls with Camille per month

  • Monthly audio/video exercise

  • Weekly somatic prompts

Luis Mojica

HLN Founder, Nutritionist & SEP

I’m a somatic therapist and nutritionist who has been in private practice for over a decade.

I’ve learned so much from working with so many couples in private practice. I learned how quickly we project who we want someone to be without taking the time to learn how to relate to who they are.

I also learned from my own relationship how much trauma shows up in our sexual, verbal, and emotional connections.

Once we identify these triggers and expectations we begin to fall in love unconditionally, while also healing co-dependence by nurturing a security within ourselves.

Camille Leak (she/her)

Holistic Life Navigation Assistant Teacher
& Community Manager

As HLN's Assistant Teacher & Community Manager, I facilitate conversations on the community platform and via Zoom events, answer questions members may have, and maintain the trust of our spaces. I got into facilitation and community management because I love asking people questions that help them reach that "a-ha!" moment.

This is not a good fit for:

  • People who do not wish to repair or nurture their relationship.

  • Anyone feeling bored to take this because your partner wants you to.

  • Anyone seeking a replacement for getting help around any type of domestic abuse.

  • Someone who wants to fix their partner.

Relating to yourself

is the first important step…

When we connect with ourselves, we’re able to understand our needs and communicate to our partners with more clarity. This means we move from judgment and into relating. We also show up from a true desire rather than the desperation of needing someone to feel safe or valid.

After this, you will emerge with a new language for connection and love.
