Living Seasonally & Cyclically: How I Recovered from Burnout [Webinar]
Most of us go from 0 to 100 throughout the day, week, month, and year. We jump out of bed, go straight to doing all the things, and pass out at night. Monday – Friday we are “on fire”, and we collapse on the couch Saturday and Sunday.
During the month or year, we may regularly hit a crash period, or our body forces us to stop by getting sick before kicking ourselves back into high gear to get sh*t done!
This is how most of live. It is the “right” way, the way everyone else is doing it.
But here is the kicker: it is not sustainable. Eventually, we will hit a wall and burn out. Instead of oscillating between two dissociative extremes, we can chose to uncover own unique cyclical rhythm.
This 90-minute live webinar is on June 28th at 12:00pm EDT, hosted by Camille Leak and co-hosted by Luis. Everyone who registers will get a downloadable replay after the event concludes. (This event is free for all HLN Community Membership members.)

Food Therapy: How Addiction & Recovery Hinge On Nutrition
Recovery is different from abstinence, though both are important as you heal from addiction. Abstinence is the avoiding of an addictive substance, while recovery is the balancing of your body from years of addiction. For example, some people go from cocaine to coffee so the same activating patterns of addiction are playing out with a new substance. This free session focuses on the somatic psychology behind addiction (a desperation for safety) as well as the biochemistry that causes us to become addicted. Whether it's food, legal or illegal drugs, television, media, work, porn, sex, or money we welcome anyone here who is in recovery, wants to be, or supports people in recovery to learn the important role that food plays in helping the body become balanced and less dependent on addictive substances and behaviors.
These Food Therapy sessions are free, 60-minute recorded sessions. A replay will be sent out afterwards to everyone who has registered.

Food Therapy: Supporting ADHD With Nutrition
This session will explore a few fundamental things with ADD & ADHD: starting with dopamine and the nervous system. Most treatment for AD(H)D involves stimulants that create dopamine spikes to help us feel the reward that comes with focusing on, otherwise, boring tasks. Like, painfully boring tasks. I'm going to teach, as someone who was diagnosed with ADHD at age 9, how you can use nutrition to restore your nervous system and even create more sustainable dopamine to focus and get things done. In addition to ADHD I also have Tourette's Syndrome & Nervous Ticks which are mostly in remission due to my balancing diet and somatic techniques. Join me for this free session to learn how you can begin supporting yourself.
These Food Therapy sessions are free, 60-minute recorded sessions. A replay will be sent out afterwards to everyone who has registered.

Food Therapy: Fasting: When It Does & Doesn't Serve You
Intermittent fasting, juice fasting, and straight up water fasts have undeniable health benefits. But did you know that the cleansing mechanism during a fast is powered by one important stress hormone? Adrenaline. This free session explores the nuanced discussion around when it's most supportive to fast, how to prepare your body for fasting, and when it's more stressful than helpful for your body. I'll be focusing on blood sugar, hormonal cycles, intentional fasting, & religious and lunar fasting. Please come with plenty of questions because toward the end we will have a Q&A.
These Food Therapy sessions are free, 60-minute recorded sessions. A replay will be sent out afterwards to everyone who has registered.

Food Therapy: Weight Gain, Weight Loss, & Balance [FREE Class]
Supporting weight loss or gain is futile if diet is the only thing we focus on. This free session will explore how somatic psychology helps us get to the emotional roots of our food habits while simultaneously incorporating balancing foods in order to help your body gain, lose, or balance its weight.
I'll teach you why we store fat by design (and how that's not your fault), how to release shame around the size of your body, and the important difference between a balanced diet and a healthy diet. I'll even give you some simple tools for helping your body interrupt its fat storage pattern and incorporate foods for healthy weight gain.
I am a trauma therapist, nutritionist, and have recovered from my own binging & purging eating disorder in addition to many health conditions such as being overweight, hypoglycemia, asthma, acne, and high cholesterol. I teach this topic with great care, dignity, and through a trauma-informed lens.
These Food Therapy sessions are free, 60-minute recorded sessions. A replay and some favorite HLN recipes will be sent out afterwards to everyone who has registered.
